Life

"Life is like one big test: At the end of it, you're in Heaven or hell." I agree with my son's statement. That's the last test. "Better yet," I told him, "there are a series of tests that are on-going in our lives. If ever we don't pass, get up, move forward. Sometimes we may need to change course." To me, life is like climbing a tree. It's hard. Some of us scooch up the trunk; some leap to a branch, but our goal is to climb as high as we can. Sometimes in the process, we slide back down, do everything we can not to tumble and fall. Sometimes we go far out on a limb and dangle on a branch until we find our way back again. I'm an adult education teacher, and I love my job with a fierce passion. What I tell my students, I have to repeat to myself: 1. Stay focused. 2. Stay positive. 3. Never give up on your dreams; keep them close to your heart. 4. Make the most of every day of your life. 5. Never stop learning. 6. Love yourself. 7. Root and cheer for yourself. 8. Surround yourself with other like-minded individuals. 9. Take steps today toward your goal. 10. You can do it!! So as the author of two published books, I'm trying to tell myself that I can write two more and then two more... My goal is to write as much as possible every single day. What will you resolve to do today that takes you closer to your goal?

Of course, I'm not the world's best writer. If I were, I'd have bestsellers to my credit, be on talk shows,

In Shape - 7 Ways

Tennis seems fun. Although in college, I admit to playing tennis for only one semester. I admit, also, that when it comes to sports, I was never any good – always the last person selected for teams. I could not dribble, could not shoot hoops, could not bat…The list goes on.
My favorite tennis players are probably Roger Federer and Serena Williams.
Today I watched an interview of a tennis player. She was asked how she prepares for matches; her answer: gym work, fitness work, running…all these to get in shape so she wouldn’t get tired during matches, not to mention the hours of actually practicing the game of tennis

Spam, a Nasty Four-Letter Word

SPAM® Classic  Today I'm blogging briefly about spam. To me, as far as my experiences go, spam is terrible.
I read an article written a while ago by someone who said she loved receiving spam mail. She spoke about how funny the mails were because the spammers were not using correct grammar. In turn, I thought, "Yeah, it's kinda neat getting spam because at least someone somewhere must be thinking of me and my blog."
However, I beg to differ with that earlier thought. Spam is hurtful. Plus, 9 times out of 10, spammers do not even read the posts. Their comments and remarks do not reflect/coincide with anything you're talking about.
