Life's Passions

    There is beauty and joy in doing what you love!

 Of course, I'm not the world's best writer. If I were, I'd have bestsellers to my credit, be on talk shows,

and have contracts with top publishing companies. But I absolutely love writing. This week, I guarantee I probably haven't written more than a thousand words. I've seriously got to get my priorities straight!
     In my class, though, I get to talk with students daily about writing, and it's so very exciting! It's motivating for me to see their writing growth and to see them get revved up to write, especially if the topic is something that they can really relate to.
     I talked with a fellow teacher and shared, "I've got to make more time to write. Writing is my passion."
     "This is your passion, too," she said. "I see how you communicate with the students and how you work so well with them. You love these kids."
     She was absolutely right! Teaching and writing are my passions!
